Abstract
This document recommends the retirement of version 2 of the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAPv2) and other dependent specifications, and discusses the reasons for doing so. This document recommends RFC 1777hist(-> 3494), 1778hist(-> 3494), 1779hist(-> 3494 | 2253(-> 4514prop | 4510prop)), 1781hist(-> 3494), and 2559hist(-> 3494) (as well as documents they superseded) be moved to Historic status.
